Just a quick one. Nothing too fancy.

@DnDSIMP @DnD_Shorts @Wizards However, tweaking the same text so references to The Forgotten Realms and protected monsters are removed/changed would make it viable for publishing elsewhere. DriveThruRPG offers creators 65% of their earnings, whereas DMsGuild offers 50%, so where possible it makes sense.

@DnDSIMP @DnD_Shorts @Wizards There's no explicit rule against it (that I can find), but often the purpose of publishing to DMsGuild is that it allows the use of D&D IP within it's content (ie stuff outside the SRD), so *those* works couldn't be published elsewhere because they'd be in copyright violation.

To all homebrew creators, I strongly recommend against using the DM's Guild. Publish your content yourself, on Drive Thru RPG or Patreon using the Creative Commons or OGL 1.0a

Don't give WotC half of your earnings because they insist they own the term "forgotten realms"

@TheKsourmoon Until their claims are in a legal document, trust nothing they post on D&D Beyond. Also, the surveys are meaningless, just a method for them to channel anger and comments away from social media and public spaces.

@steamworkopus I'm inclined to agree, but it's only a metaphor until it gets too detailed, at which point whomever you're explaining to that doesn't already have an understanding of what's happening doesn't want to any more.

Plus, hastily written, may not help.
