Today, we unveiled the Ibom Medical City Project, one of the most ambitious healthcare investments in the history of our State.
Sitting on about 100 hectares of land, the Medical City is designed to provide world-class healthcare services, drive medical research and innovation, create jobs, and reduce the need for medical tourism.
The project will feature a 350-bed International Hospital, 62 medical specialities, medical residences, pharmaceutical and life sciences facilities, rehabilitation centres, and other healthcare support services.
I am particularly pleased that we have employed 2,844 healthcare professionals since March 2025 and will also train 100 Akwa Ibom indigenes abroad to support the operation of this facility when completed.
I thank the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, healthcare professionals, development partners, and all stakeholders for joining us on this historic day.
We are building a healthcare ecosystem that will serve our people, create opportunities, and strengthen Akwa Ibom’s position as a destination for quality healthcare services.
@vintafurnitures@Beyondthematchh when you become defensive instead of apologising and make amends, it shows lack of accountability and high level of irresponsibility. Trying to do damage control to absolve yourself, tell much about you as a person and your business.
Fix up.

A new report from the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) confirms Fulani militants caused more deaths than Boko Haram or ISIS over the past year by mostly targeting Christian farming communities in Nigeria.
Commenting on the report, Open Doors CEO Henrietta Blyth said:
"My heart has been broken as I have heard stories from women and men who have seen their beloved family members butchered in front of them or carried off into a life of slavery."
@officialEFCC In a medical facility where people are battling for their lives, you went there and open teargas then shamelessly come here to say it was administrative assignment. Safe to say it was administrative teargas 🤡
@cavilT@UIUX_Lastborn Cavil, I think you shouldn't follow this path. Whatever the intention of @UIUX_Lastborn is, what really matter is the issue raised. Let the concerned ministry/agency get to work. It's the constitutional right of everyone to hold elected leaders accountable.
I passed HE @_PastorUmoEno like 30 minutes ago, along Airport road, 001 is back*. It's Official, Victor Attah International Airport has gone global. Our magnificent Smart Airport, complete with cargo hanger and MRO is here... Best in the country.

@romeocza@UdofiaEA Bro what facts are you talking about?
The fact that Uyo that used to be clean is now something else with wastes littered almost every corner? Darkness everywhere? Let's not even talk of lack of jobs.
Criticism of the government doesn't amount to hate.
