@Roger_Negan If one reads the constitution, they would realize that the point of the government was to provide safety and stay out of the affairs of the citizens. State governments are free to tax and spend on anything they wish. We have bastardized it.

@anyonewantchips Electoral College insures and was designed to insure that candidates focus on the whole land area and not just one or two populated regions, which is what the founders feared. The electoral college is functioning as it should, Dem candidates should reach for middle America.
