@ArdentMills Happy to work with @ArdentMills and @FishWildlifeON to do our part with helping the Lake Ontario Chinook salmon by collecting samples from the fish caught here and conducting student-led research @PitcherLab @GLIERUWINDSOR
Great presentation by @SJC_fishy for the @GLIERUWINDSOR graduate student colloquium that challenged us to appreciate the global value of inland fisheries and the threats to their sustainability, and to have confidence that we can find solutions. #conservationoptimism
@graham_raby I think most projects are proposed for land based wind farms, another thing we have a lot of - crown land! But yes, obviously other factors are in play and must be considered.
Interesting blog series close to home for me - I never understood why there were no wind turbines in NL after moving to Windsor and seeing hundreds. Check it out, hopefully can lead to a change! https://t.co/FjGjp9yvQV
Speaking of wind energy - take time to vote for #ICEgrid to provide funding to transition rural Canadian communities off of diesel and on to wind energy! https://t.co/BSDXUGw4yH @LetsFishSmarter
@graham_raby Haha yeah, all it takes is one trip there to realize it's potential. Unfortunately we have a lot of water also, and political will seems to favour that
Great launch event for large, bi-national, and collaborative RAEON grant awarded to @fisk_lab@GLIERUWINDSOR! Moving science forward with real-time data collection for the Great Lakes!
Doing our part for #CiscoInferno2017 by injecting bloaters with reproductive hormones to improve broodstock production at provincial hatcheries @PitcherLab @FishWildlifeON
@Sarah_salmonid Yeah saw this at end of day, will have to read more in depth, but I found similar stuff with my seminal plasma and sperm velocity study!
