Where could your learners’ ideas take them next year? Schools are encouraged to visit the 2026 Eskom Expo International Science Fair during public viewing on Thursday, 1 October, from 15:00 to 17:00 at Birchwood Hotel and OR Tambo Conference Centre.

Bring your learners to explore projects, speak to young scientists and discover what participating in Eskom Expo could look like. They might leave inspired to start a research project of their own for 2027.

We got the chance to celebrate 20 years of @SciFest4STEM, Ireland’s largest second-level STEM fair programme!🎉

The anniversary was marked with the launch of a new Impact Report which revealed that over 145,000 students in 600 schools have taken part since Scifest began in 2006.

We are very proud to have been there since the beginning and wish the Scifest team all the very best on this wonderful milestone.

For Matilda Miniussi, a teacher at @colmuirechaven Co. Cork students participating in SciFest is not just about the project they bring to SciFest@College @MTU_ie (Cork Campus). It’s about the skills they develop and the interest in STEM that can grow from the experience. #scifest
