We are calling for the government to make Heart Failure a national priority and to publicly raise awareness of HF symptoms.

This will reduce the impact and burden of HF on the patients and the NHS (currently costing £2 billion annually) and reduce the high numbers of patients being cared for in hospital (where 80% of patients are currently diagnosed) to instead being cared for from home.

Early diagnosis does not just save lives; it transforms them.

Now is the time to act.

@NirUrielMD presented a comparative analysis on 2-year survival outcomes for #HeartMate3 LVAD and HTx patients <50 showing a 12% reduced mortality when measured from time of HM3 implant compared to death or delisting from time of HTx waitlisting (90% vs 78% survival).
