@nicksortor Yeah, she looked absolutely terrified as she was smiling and prancing at the voting site today.
Sadly, she is not concerned or afraid at all, which should raise alarms to the rest of us!
Thanks to @shethinkslibrty, here’s Panhandle sheriff pay. Public salaries deserve public scrutiny. A badge doesn’t exempt anyone from questions about compensation. We fund these positions. We have every damn right to examine what they cost.
The Florida Medical Examiners Commission recently released their 2025 Annual Drug Report, which shows a nearly 60% decline in fentanyl-caused deaths statewide since our State Assistance for Fentanyl Eradication (S.A.F.E.) grant program launched in 2023.
So far, S.A.F.E. has resulted in almost 3,000 arrests of drug traffickers and dealers, as well as significant seizures of dangerous narcotics. Officers have seized more than 600 pounds of fentanyl and 65,000 fentanyl pills—enough to kill nearly 40% of the U.S. population. These are not small-time drug busts; they are major cartel-linked operations dismantled in Florida.
The Trump Administration’s commitment to securing the border, and our work with federal partners on immigration enforcement, has undoubtedly helped save many lives. State, local, and federal law enforcement continue to work together to combat drug trafficking and protect Floridians. If you are pushing poison in Florida, you will be caught, you will be arrested, and you will be held accountable for your crimes.
Today, we unveiled a new statue of Christopher Columbus, whose voyages connected the Old World to the New World. Columbus charted the course for other European explorers who would eventually settle Florida. In fact, Juan Ponce de Leon—the Spanish explorer who named Florida—was part of Columbus’ second voyage.
This statue of Columbus stands in Naples as a testament to the pioneering spirit of Western Civilization, essential to appreciating Florida’s and America’s history.
You can learn to budget.
Attention Floridians…vote YES on amendment 3.
Florida Amendment 3 (November 2026) increases the homestead exemption on non-school property taxes from the current roughly $50,000–$51,000 to $150,000 in 2027 and $250,000 in 2028 (then adjusted for inflation). It also lowers the annual assessment increase cap on non-homestead properties (second homes, rentals, commercial, etc.) from 10% to 5%, and limits how local governments can spend property tax revenue (primarily to public safety, schools, infrastructure, and similar core needs). School taxes are unaffected. The measure needs 60% approval to pass and is projected to significantly cut local government revenue.
Oregon politician Nafisa Fai just held a rally in MN, speaking Somali, with an American flag UPSIDE DOWN.
Enough with the pretending already.
These are not Americans.
What, exactly, would be “forcing” local governments to raise taxes?
Why not limit spending?
The state has reduced its budget for four straight years. It can be done!
@mskmlady Florida's local government leaders and sheriffs are crying over Amendment 3 like drunks being told the bar is closing in 30 minutes. Time for them to sober up!
@Aragost24@RonDeSantis@geezyloueezy This is the absolute truth. I've been in Florida since the 50's and Ron is, by far, the best Governor we've ever had.
@Zapper_nky@larrygloverlive I agree. I think about the darkest days of the program.
The late ‘80s were a deep wound. Gillespie was way, way over his head with the constant ‘deer in headlights’ look. He was a train wreck.
