@NFLNotify Here's the thing about the Bears ... they won only 5 games, but could easily (perhaps should), with better coaching, have won 8 or 9. There's more talent there than their record shows. I don't think it's ridiculous to talk about 10-12 wins in 2025. Stranger things have happened!
@zerofan@TodayinHistory It wasn't a typical race. By the Belmont, only Sham had a any chance at all to even challenge Secretariat. Most others dropped out. Happens sometimes these days, too, over the course of the Triple Crown races.
@LangmanVince I think for me it was the concept that made it scary. The idea of being trapped in that world and not being able to get home was terrifying to me. And yes, the sleestacks were super-creepy.
@golfsohard@michaelFhurley No. And the men's US Open doesn't do it that way anymore. Both tournaments do a two-hole aggregate playoff, followed by sudden death if still tied.
@wischlist@Bill_Bychowski Honest question though: nobody, that I’m aware, is saying the Bears will move their offices/headquarters to Indiana. People say they’re “moving to Indiana.” But that’s not really true if their HQ stays put. Right?
@AdamSchefter Nobody has said anything about the Bears moving their offices/headquarters, practice facilities. If that’s all still based I. Chicago they’re still the Chicago Bears.
@privategolfacs Nah. Cap and goggles would be easy to misplace. Or think they’re in your bag when they’re not. My son was a swimmer. Very absent-minded back then. He never did that, but it’s easy to imagine!
@ShehanJeyarajah@byBDavis Remains to be seen how big he can get. I remember one reason Shawn Bradley (7’6”?) flamed out was cause he couldn’t gain weight. He got knocked around like a feather.
