@RCorySmith@247Sports@MichaelClark247@TomLoy247@Charlie_Grib@s_t_editz You don’t keep Doeren around for 13+ yrs if you are serious about football. We only have ourselves to blame for funding mediocrity for decades. I am hopeful Chancellor Howell has more of a commitment to athletics moving forward.
@PackInsider Considering we had to replace our entire roster outside of 2 guys, I am not sure we had much choice but to go heavy within mid-major ranks at much cheaper price tags if we wanted to fill a team. I wish we could have tapped into some international players but that appears unlikely
@krninjawarrior I don’t really care either way if Avent returns or retires, but I do believe we as a fanbase need to stop with this “loyalty” crap. Probably no one was happier for the Wade fiasco than Dave Doeren. Should we just give every coach a life time contract because they are loyal??
@mcblimp95 I think both fanbases need to pump the breaks on expectations. Rosters are still far from complete. In my opinion neither team is going to know what they have until both get into the meat of the ACC schedule. Too many unknowns right now.
@wolfskin83 If we can bring in a rim protector or two, my personal opinion is we are a bubble team. If we have to resort to small ball yet again, probably an above average NIT team. Everything hinges on Gainey getting some length on this team.
@UnclePen1 The ACC likely will dissolve by 2030 anyway. The only way to salvage the league in my opinion is a merge with the Big 12. Even then it’s probably only a band-aid for the remaining members.
@PackInsider You just wonder what type of value is left in the portal to fill 8 spots. Without a doubt I think the consensus is we have to get bigger across the board to compete in ACC play. Hoping for 2 legitimate Centers, 2 PF, 2 SF, 2 SG, at the bare minimum in a perfect world.
@UnclePen1 I have no clue if Louisville over paid for this kid or not but outside of this Dynes height there was nothing about his game that I liked. Give me a couple of athlectic 6’10 bigs and I feel we will be okay.
@PackInsider I would argue that the Chicago Bulls would have not had all the championships they had without Dennis Rodman who only averaged a little about 7 points a game. Give me a defensive specialist, glue guy and rebounder all day and every day. We will have enough scorers.
