@CaelanConrad Toe walking is because of the hard wood floors. All three of my kids did this when they were young, because they didn't like the sticky feel of the wood on the bottoms of their feet. Walked normal on all other surfaces. Watch your kids and prove me wrong.

@lisaabramowicz1 Deferred maintenance is an issue not discussed with this article. Most BB houses are original builders grade and need a lot of work, and they won't command top dollar. Good luck telling that to old folks who "Aren't gonna give it away!"

Younger folk like to move around the US, and I can't blame them. This isn't the 'Dad working in the plant for 30 years' anymore economy.
