My commutes to both school and postdoc work frequently involved avoiding either the grazing cows or their wet leavings. Losing them could be a big hit for the biodiversity on the commons, but I guess the city council also needs to pay for vital services

@BBCBristol@AdamHartScience Bristol's green spaces are full of harlequin ladybirds at the moment (lots over the other side of the bridge in Ashton Court). They do this every year at this point of the autumn as they're looking for somewhere to overwinter, and it doesn't seem like a particularly unusual year.
