The Randy Bennett era was something else in Moraga - 12 of their 15 NCAA Tournaments, a Consensus AA in Jock Landale, and a Sweet 16 run in 2010. If it weren’t for Gonzaga, the Gaels have RUN the WCC the past two decades.

Before Bennett? Not many people knew about Saint Mary’s. They had previously only made the big dance three times with an Elite 8 back in 1959. It has really been a tale of two centuries with the current one being an outstanding one.

Has any program accomplished as much in 13 seasons in Division I? GCU has been to 4 NCAA Tournaments and went to the round of 32 in 2024, going 30-5 that season.

They’ve had 5 straight 20-win seasons and just 1 losing record, coming in 2020.

Head coach Bryce Drew has built them into a mid-major powerhouse and in year one in the Mountain West they continued it with a 20-12 season.
