“Don’t even think about stopping until you get there, and don’t give much thought to where “there’ is. Whatever comes, just don’t stop."
- Founder of Nike, Phil Knight
Trying is irrelevant. You have to be willing to move the fucking world. Follow up 30 times in a row. Call once an hour. Bake their mom's favorite pie. Do whatever it takes.
The issue isn't that the problem is too big, it's that your commitment to solving it is too small.
A lesson some learn too late is that being good at school and good at life are two different things
One has rigid structure and optimizes for folks who can follow directions well
The other is fluid with no instruction manuals. Requires raw courage and persistence, not just IQ
I don't understand people who have brothers
And don't work with them in any capacity
Don't live with them
Don't spend time with them
I literally could not imagine that reality
How can you have a brother and let that mf settle down with some chick and never speak to you again
This is the reality for most brothers
They never scheme up anything together
Never make money together
Never travel the world together
They just get split by some random chick and talk a couple times a year
That is a mf that literally has YOUR BLOOD
Ready to attack the world with you
One of the greatest gifts god can ever give a man
It's literally a have a best friend on steroids
And god has given me 2
Shout out god man god is great
An underrated life lesson: Tolerance for uncertainty is the most valuable human trait. The greatest rewards in life go to those who can show up every single day even when the rewards are uncertain. The one who can tolerate the most uncertainty is the one who will eventually win.
Always carry yourself like your life matters. Because it does. Stand tall. Walk with confidence. Make eye contact. Take care of your body and mind. Be present. Listen closely. Speak with intention. Bet on yourself. If you do that, the world will start bending to your will.
If you want to get ahead in life, do the old fashioned things well. Look people in the eye. Do what you say you'll do. Be on time. Practice good posture. Have a confident handshake. Be kind. All simple and free, but few live up to this standard. It never goes out of style.
You'll be rewarded far more in life for your determination than your intelligence. The problem is - determination just looks like a long string of failures until it works.
Do hard things, because nothing feels better than a hard-earned win. Nothing. The pain. The struggle. The resilience. The grit. And then, the reward. The thrill of knowing that you paid the cost of entry for the thing you wanted to achieve. Hard things are good for the soul.
