Manually timing surveillance endoscopy for Barrett's oesophagus (BO) can lead to errors & inefficient use of resources, so researchers developed fine-tuned models to classify BO length and pathology findings automatically.

Tested at multiple hospitals, these models showed high accuracy & revealed a 27% discrepancy with human decisions, highlighting the potential of #NLP-based automation to improve precision & adherence to guidelines in clinical BO surveillance.
