Across Odisha, protests against police brutality and forceful land acquisition by mining companies are intensifying.

In Angul district, nearly 150 families are on Dharna against NALCO’s alleged forced eviction for coal mining projects. Villagers claim they were misled with false promises — poor compensation, no jobs for land losers, and displacement without dignity.

The voices of tribals and locals cannot be bulldozed in the name of mining profits.
