More than half of the games currently in Steam Early Access have gone over a year without an update.

A new analysis of Steam data looked at 12,320 Early Access games as of September 26, 2026.

> 56.7%, 6,989 games, had no new build, patch notes, or update announcement for at least one year.

Online ads can apparently do a lot more than track you.

Citizen Lab has uncovered a technique called “AdFection” that uses targeted advertising to deliver zero-click spyware.

The attack works without the victim clicking an ad. A malicious ad can be shown to a specifically targeted device, exploit a vulnerability, and potentially install spyware automatically.

Citizen Lab traced the operation to Discover-Tech, an Israeli ad-tech company whose Controlium platform was used to profile and identify targets before delivering the spyware.

Researchers found evidence that at least 45 devices at Al Jazeera were infected with Candiru spyware between 2024 and 2025.

Discover-Tech’s advertising reached more than 120,000 websites and around 75,000 apps, potentially exposing hundreds of millions of users to the tracking infrastructure.

Spain has blocked Archive today and six of its mirror domains, cutting off access to a popular website used to save copies of webpages and preservation

The service lets users take snapshots of websites and access them later, even if the original page gets deleted or changed. It’s often used by journalists, researchers and people who want to preserve information online.

The block was ordered through Spain’s Intellectual Property Commission under the country’s copyright enforcement system. Authorities claim the service facilitates access to copyrighted material.

The affected domains include archivetoday, archiveis, archiveph, archiveli, archivemd, archivefo and archivevn.

A user has reportedly been banned from PlayStation Network after taking a jailbroken PS5 online. The console was also blocked from online services.

The report comes after the release of Relapse, a new jailbreak that reportedly works on PS5 and PS5 Pro consoles running firmware 7.00 to 13.60. The process can be done in just a few seconds.

This is crazy, a jailbroken PS5 can now play original PS2 game discs directly, without needing to copy the games to digital files first.

Modders have found a way to use the PS5’s disc drive to read original PS2 DVDs and run the games through an emulator.

But they’re not stopping there. Modders are also working on getting original PS3 discs to work on the PS5

So Sony could have made this possible years ago, but they never did, they preferred to keep charging users for useless remakes.
