NEW: President Trump announces the U.S. is dispatching aid to Nepal following catastrophic flooding and mudslides that leveled buildings in the country.

Officials are currently working to verify the safety of dozens of citizens who were in the area during the disaster while nearly 400 have been confirmed dead and almost a thousand others are still missing.
