Congratulations to Westminster Council for their acceptance of Banksy’s brilliant statue near Pall Mall. Let’s hope it stays — a welcome note of calmness and humour at a time of growing extremism.
This is humanity at its best. Recently we have seen so many examples of humanity at its absolute worst that this gives hope that there might be a better future ahead of us.
What the Artemis II astronauts did over the last 10 days was a testament to their bravery. And the fact that they traveled farther from Earth than anyone ever has, re-entered our atmosphere at more than 24,000 mph, and splashed down safely was a testament to human ingenuity. Thanks to everyone at @NASA for making this mission possible, and for taking us along for the ride.
This is a total game changer, especially for iOS users. Now you can create your apps in App Inventor and save it on your mobile device to be used later whenever you need.

We mourn the passing of Frank Gehry (1929-2025), the architect who designed the Ray & Maria Stata Center.
He was a visionary known for playing w/a mix of curvy edges, steel, & occasional bright colors, including the ones you see across Stata. Gehry's other iconic designs include the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, the Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, & the Louis Vuitton Foundation in Paris, France.
The distinctive, colorful look of Stata reflects the creative fire Gehry brought to each building he envisioned. Undaunted by convention, he wanted his architectural projects to "defy categorization." Gehry's work certainly did — though "futuristic" would be a fitting description.
His work continues to foster the innovations taking place every day at CSAIL. Daniela Rus, MIT Prof. & CSAIL Director, on the ways he impacted our community:
"As we reflect on Frank Gehry’s extraordinary legacy, I’m grateful for the daily reminder of his vision & for the creativity his work continues to inspire. My condolences go out to his family, colleagues, & the many communities shaped by his remarkable contributions to architecture & design."

5/15/25: MIT RAISE & App Inventor teams mark the 25th year at MIT of our talented program manager, Marisol Diaz who joined App Inventor in the early days of the project and has helped steer it ever since. Congrats on the impressive milestone! Le deseamos un feliz aniversario!
@TansuYegen Haha! Can't be done.Basically the famous Koenigsberg Bridge problem solved by Euler in 1736. Any traversable graph must have either exactly two or no odd vertices. An odd vertex is a junction point on a graph where an odd number of edges meet. Here we see four odd vertices.
Congratulations to all the participants of the Global AI Hackathon 2025 and to our wonderful App Inventor Foundation partners who really took our annual Appathons to the next level. I need to also say how proud I am of the Turkish team who won the Youth Team category. Go Turkiye!
We’re thrilled to share the results of our second annual Global AI Hackathon presented by @MitRaise and @MITAppInventor! 🏆✨

In 1985 Steve Jobs shared a vision for an AI tool that could capture the “underlying worldview” of a historical figure like Aristotle and answer students’ questions as that character. Amazingly, in just 40 years tools like ChatGPT & Gemini have done that.
