@memorynguwi I agree. Most organisations prefer externals. When you resign, they counter offer. Baffles me how one's value is only calculated when they have one foot outside the door. It is always advisable to leave if the organisation does not offer a clear career progression path.

@humanworkplace Interviewer started asking me about my religious beliefs. Turned out we had contrasting views on religion and she was the wife and co-owner of a new age mega church. I knew during the interview I didn't want the job even if I had been unemployed for 2 years.

@memorynguwi Yes. The reason many people are stuck in dead-end jobs is not because they are too scared to monetize their passions, but because they dont know how to. Financial literacy from a young age would be beneficial

@RMwareya @memorynguwi Response implies that social sciences and commercials require less intellect. IMHO, the way sciences are taught at elementary level is the problem. Half the time, teachers themselves dont understand the subjects.Secondly, many schools have no labs. Let us identify the root cause.

@memorynguwi We risk implying that Sciences are more important than other fields by using terms like 'oversupplied' and 'flooded'. Focus should be on identifying specific skill sets we need to ensure socio-economic development, not general fields.

2. Company culture kills strategy execution.
3. Companies do not see the need for a corporate strategist, hence companies are rudderless ships.
