In Mogadishu, displaced families keep Ramadan traditions alive in the kitchen. For some, like Halima, making sambusas is not only a cherished ritual but also a way to earn a living and support their families.

Drought in rural Somalia didn’t just destroy livelihoods it forced families like Nurto’s to flee their homes in search of survival.

When Nurto arrived in Baidoa, she came with her children, one of whom was suffering from malnutrition.

Today, her story is one of transformation. Through an integrated response supported by the German Federal Foreign Office (GFFO), World Vision Somalia provided an integrated package of life‑saving and resilience‑building services to families like Nurto

🗣️ “With that support my life transformed I restocked my neighborhood shop bought chicken, goats, food for my family and paid for my children’s education in both school and madrasa” — Nurto

Today, her children are healthy, she runs a small business, and the future looks brighter.This is the power of moving #FromReliefToRecovery.
