I get the frustration, but let's zoom out. Before this conflict, Iran was on the verge of a nuke, sitting on 60% enriched uranium with full centrifuge capability, long-range missiles (2,000+ miles), active manufacturing, and cash flowing to proxies.The US strikes obliterated their nuclear sites, military infrastructure, and manufacturing — a massive degradation. Now they're weaker than they were pre-war. They closed the Strait, we responded with a blockade, and this deal simply reopens it. No regime change, no endless war, but Iran is materially less dangerous today than it was 2 weeks ago.Not a perfect ending, but a clear net win for us and the region compared to where we started.

It seems like everybody's excited about getting past 50 votes. I'm trying to get excited this law is the one law that I think is worth breaking the filibuster over only because then I'm not worried about the Democrats using the filibuster in the future because I don't think they can legitimately take back the Senate or house or presidency if US citizens are the only people voting in our elections. What I'm lost on is why people are excited because we still need 60 votes without the filibuster being discarded getting five or six Democrats besides John federman would be nearly impossible.
