Mr.Monke

Having someone else to look to for motivation is a new feeling. I didn't know selflessness could come from a desire of self improvement.

Since I'm already a retired videogame designer, I'd like this account to be my sanctuary, not where people expect me to talk about my spouse or his company. (I sometimes forget that he's not just my family member but a subject of gamers' interest.)🙂

Those Monado arts are weird I wonder what's wrong 🤔

[Mr.Monke @SenseiAfroman]

@Food4Dogs Dude my eyes have to be going. I looked at the game first thing and thought it was Madden

[Mr.Monke @SenseiAfroman]

@TheSubparPatsby I just finished Bloodborne for the first time about a week ago. Most focused and tight game design I've ever personally seen, highly recommend.

@maximilian_ You're getting Wolverine: Won't Cut It and Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered Remake

[Mr.Monke @SenseiAfroman]

@HouseQuay God fuckin damn dude, your art itches my brain in such a specific way. That's fucking gorgeous, seeing how you've improved is absolutely bonkers

No, you cannot walk 10,000 steps daily, get 8 hours of sleep, cook every night, clean every day, take care of a family, make time for your own hobbies, and still be productive at work every day. This is not just propaganda, it is nonsense. Free yourself from it.

If someone starts arguing with you about how good or bad a video game is, and they lead with sales figures, profits, and steam peak or current concurrent players, don't even engage. They are not serious and have lost the entire plot. It's tiring at this point.

I butchered a couple fingers on my right hand yesterday. Six stitches, nerve damage etc 😵

While I wait to heal, let’s see how long it takes me to get good at drawing using my left instead! 🫲

DAY #1

[Mr.Monke @SenseiAfroman]

@TotallyNotMark As someone who has permanent nerve damage in both hands/arms and had to become ambidextrous by necessity, just keep at it and try not to compare to your old work too much. Comparison is the robber of joy and you're your own worse critic, combine them and you'll just hate yourself

[Mr.Monke @SenseiAfroman]

@harldpurrez @PrometheusVoid This is actually 100% correct. To quote: "Only a Sith deals in absolutes"

Claiming something as THE interpretation of an art piece is not only disingenuous, it's very damaging to that piece of art.

[Mr.Monke @SenseiAfroman]

@SteeIDick In a word, it's made them cringe?

[Mr.Monke @SenseiAfroman]

@HouseQuay Ffffuck that's clean dude, your work is always so sick 🤘

[HouseQuay @HouseQuay]

Roxas - Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days

[Mr.Monke @SenseiAfroman]

@JRPGGems After playing FF1-9, Tactics, Chrono Trigger, Live-A-Live and a bunch of other RPGs recently, FF1 has this unmistakable charm and coziness that not many other RPGs have ever made feel. It's so inspired and a clear love letter to the larger fantasy genre as a whole, I love it

[Mr.Monke @SenseiAfroman]

@GenePark Best pitch for Ace Combat I've ever heard

@TiffanyEventide Let know if good, been recommended by my brother but I've been lazy
