@MikeCalcara Had a relatable experience recently. Wife and I were going back and forth about buying a new or used Pilot. We asked to see the new, salesman said “well you don’t want that anyway”. What?? We left and went to a different dealer and bought brand new a day later.

@jamesonhaslam My wife is a part owner of a small landscape supply business. They have about 20 employees. Company pays 100% premium. The downside is they often don’t recognize the value of it.

@CoffeeBlackMD I feel this. Increasing running volume has a paradoxical effect on weight gain for me. I house a lot more food. I have to think/track more diligently to stay at maintenance

@patcarino Our 3 year old went through this. Like a switch flipped, she went from perfect easy bedtimes to drawn out marathons. I wish I could say we found some bedtime hack, but it was really just time and patience. Couple months later, back to easy bedtimes again. It’s all temporary

@mwmoedinger I remember starting my first job out of college (for a very large engineering firm) and neither my phone nor computer was ready. I sat around all day twiddling my thumbs. It made me feel useless, unimportant, and bored - not a great start!

@mwmoedinger I feel like the basics go a long way here: being prepared for the first day with technology all ready/set up, HR process laid out, and maybe a casual lunch out with team members to get acquainted.
