Come exam season, we don't get the datesheet even 1 week prior to the exams. Inherently we waste 1 month each year 'waiting' for exams that could potentially have been used as a productive break or at least could have been used for postings.

We don't get to go to electives else we'll lose our attendance (which is essentially to ensure we get the proper clinical training).
Each year, a month of clinical postings is cut cuz we suddenly need to rush with the exams and there is no time to have any further posting.
