@prsguitars What inspired me was @mikeoldfield , and his PRS Custom 24 on the Tubular Bells 2 live DVD. I wanted to own one of those beautiful guitars! My 20th Anniversary Custom 24 is still my main guitar after all these years!
@CroftyF1 I reckon that because it was a safety car, which led the first lap, the cars are allowed to unlap themselves at the end of a safety car it would mean he is on the lead lap but just last maybe? #SkyF1
@SkySportsF1 Murray was the greatest commentator, an utter legend, and that enthusiasm, excitement, love of the sport, and -of course- cheese is still in the sport thanks to @tedkravitz#F1Testing#RIPMurrayWalker
@DramaTeacher90 @BCUITEChat@HeatherS_1505 All of the this! It's much easier to earn (and give) respect when you're a real person. I didn't use humour at the start and I struggled as that's a bit part of my core, the kids now tolerate my comedy but have a TON more respect because of it! #BCUITEChat
@BCUITEChat I wish I'd have been better organised at the start! The important thing it to hold on to WHY you want to teach. A Nelson Mandella quote is especially poignant today "It's in your hands to create a better world for all who live in it". Trainees; this is education! #BCUITEChat
@BCUITEChat Just one?! Managing to build the confidence of a student so that they could (after 5 and a half years or working with her!) perform at our Christmas Concert last year. I played guitar for her and I had tears of joy by the end of her performance! #BCUITEChat
@rtaylor2021@BCUITEChat That last part is SO important. Every school is a unique beast with unique pupils, their backgrounds and the area makes up the personality of the school. Such an important thing to remember in your placements! #BCUITEChat
@MrBHobbis @BCUITEChat Cannot agree more with this! Time is the most limited resource on a PGCE and making the most of it really helps with when one is actually DOING the job! #BCUITEChat
@BCUITEChat Speak to each other, and your mentors in school as much as you can. For each other you're all learning the ropes together -which is a lot of ropes!- and it is good to be able to support one another (which'll help DRAMATICALLY in your career). For mentors, we survived! #BCUITEChat
@DeborahWu8 @BCUITEChat Yeah! Muso! *Socially distanced high five* All of the teams for subjects at BCU are outstanding, but I must say, the music team are something special! Plenty of music making opportunities regardless of your instrument, and great facilities too!
@BCUITEChat Afternoon! I'm Darren, or Mr. Taylor, or -regularly- Miss! (Get used to that regardless of sex and marital status!). I'm a Head of Music, teacher of computing and work closely with special needs pupils. Here to help support you wonderful humans whom want to teach! #BCUITEChat
@SCSsoftware My dad's was to complete the Pump It Up achievement, which has now completed his Achievement Hunt! Back to Europe for him now, I guess! #AchievementHunter
@BCUITEChat If you're lucky enough to get to work closely with support staff do not be afraid to use their knowledge to build a rich tapestry and wealth of experiences that develop a pupils understanding and wellbeing. Humanity is an underappreciated part of education! #BCUITEChat
@BCUITEChat Q5. (2/2) ... But they bring more to me than the other way. If a pupil is having a tough day, or there has been an issue they can let me know when we're all entering the room and I can adapt the lesson to suit. This in absolutely invaluable! #BCUITEChat
