Gangai Konda Cholapuram temple faced relentless attacks from invaders over centuries and this was the status of temple before independence. Thanks to the efforts of ASI, the temple is restored and is now a ‘living temple’ where worship happens.

In September last year, during our Chevening Gurukul Fellowship, during a coffee conversation, I had requested @annamalai_k for help bridging a funding gap for nurse salaries in district hospitals of Manipur & Nagaland. The need would arise months later, in April–May 2025. Anna had promised to help.

He could’ve forgotten—it was just a quiet conversation between fellows. But he didn’t. He remembered. He acted. He supported Manipur & Nagaland just out of compassion!!!!
Thanks to his support, the hospitals have now received the help they need to continue caring for thousands of critical patients.

The highlight of PM @narendramodi Ji’s address today, for me personally, was his focus on strengthening India’s indigenous defence manufacturing over the last decade and how without it India would have been in a precarious situation during Op. Sindoor.

As someone from Bengaluru, home to HAL and several major aerospace and defence PSUs, I’ve seen firsthand how Congress governments systematically weakened these institutions. It was only after 2014 that they got a new lease of life.

Had India benefited from PM Modi’s leadership 25 or 30 years ago, we might already have been among the world’s top defence exporters. Still, the gains made over the past 10 years, across both public and private sectors, must now be deepened. The future belongs to a strong, self-reliant India.
