Excited to see our work published. This initiative gave us the ability to diversify the cohort for rare cancers and to drive treatments for some patients. I would like to thank @DSolit@VanAllenLab@BarbaraSolit@sabrinaycamp Tina Alano and all my co-authors for your support.
Congrats to @SeyramNaa and the Make-an-IMPACT team for the recent paper in @CCR_AACR "Overcoming barriers to tumor genomic profiling through direct-to-patient outreach." Here, we partnered with patient advocates to offer MSK-IMPACT testing to patients with select rare cancers.
New research from MSK reveals how #pancreatic cancer cells organize themselves to fuel tumor growth; finds an antibody-drug conjugate shows efficacy in rare pediatric #sarcoma; develops an AI tool could accelerate identification of disease-causing genetic variants; and develops quantum nanosensors for cancer blood tests: https://t.co/vGLRNAiZKk
math is so beautiful. these people predicted that the crew would come all the way from space and land in the water at exactly 8:07 PM EST and that's the exact same time - down to the minute - that they splashed down.
Congratulations to MSK's most recent awards and appointments, including Dr. Charles Sawyers for being awarded the Harrington Prize for Innovation in Medicine, @RShouval for receiving the Van Bekkum Award from the @TheEBMT, and more: https://t.co/UD9lTNqafV
I think what’s so poetic about this image is that it was unintentional.
I had my phone set up to record the launch and at about 40 seconds into the launch, it hit me that this is the FIRST TIME a woman is going to the moon.
My mother and grandmother were alive during the Apollo missions but this is the FIRST time they’re witnessing a woman making that journey.
My heart filled and I turned the camera to capture my reaction in that exact moment.
I’m so glad I did.
The image you’re seeing is a woman in STEM in awe over Christina Koch - and the impact her journey will have on millions of girls around the world.
The launch reflecting in my glasses - well, that was just the icing on top of the cake.
It was inspiring to watch the Artemis II launch yesterday — @NASA’s first crewed mission around the moon since 1972. Our space program has always captured an essential part of what it means to reach beyond what we thought was possible, and I hope the four brave astronauts on this mission will inspire a new generation to follow in their footsteps.
A few new faces around here so let me reintroduce myself!
I’m Ellie, I’m a @Cambridge_Uni Mathematics Masters Graduate who loves sharing the beauty of mathematics and STEM.
I started my career in the space industry as a Space Systems Optimisation Engineer and later an Astrodynamics Software Engineer.
I then moved to Machine Learning and worked as an Engineer. And I’m starting a new chapter very soon which I can’t wait to share more details about 😉
Throughout that time I’ve been an avid mathematics and science communicator from the UK, sharing content online (i’m on all platforms). I also engage audiences through talks, public speaking, and other STEM outreach.
I use this space to show that education is for all and that there lies SO much beauty in mathematics and STEM, and I hope to share that through my outreach ☺️

For every scientist/ future scientist, you come to know the work of the greats intimately. I got to hear one of my heroes, Dr. Francis Collins, speak…truly brilliant. I appreciate his perspective on the intersection of faith and science.
@MSKCancerCenter thank you for this!
So much chatter about Claude’s lit review skills. Are students not taught the purpose of lit review?
Existing literature is part of the puzzle of your research that’s resolved (or incorrectly resolved). You read them to know wt needs uncovering & not to add a summary in ur paper.

We have a new paper out! We assess the case for Africa-centric AI safety evaluations. I'm pretty excited about it, particularly because it tries to handle questions I've also had about the practicalities of conducting evaluations.

After 20 years of fighting a rare blood disease, Maureen joined an MSK clinical trial, led by Dr. Heather Landau. Dr. Karlo Perica explains how #CART therapy re-engineered her immune cells to attack the disease. Just one week after her CAR T cell infusion, Maureen’s blood tests were normal and she felt great.
