Because he'd stripe most of the Static's main core traits and give them to the side characters while propping them up to at his expense to the point where he'd be considered the least interesting character in his own movie. Then make the mantle main character instead of Virgil.

@Promiseishim @darksided_uv @emmywayne64 Yeah Shuri being a super genius is an MCU invention. She's never been a scientist or inventor in the comics pre 2018 BP1. That has always been T'Challa's thing. He even created a type of physics called Shadow Physics that combines alchemy and Quantum science.
