Earlier today, I launched an empowerment programme for 4,000 vulnerable women, widows and economically disadvantaged members of our State. The programme is aimed at mitigating the current economic turmoil faced by the citizens across the State.

I received in the audience the Chief of Mission of the International Organization for Migration (IMO), Mr. Laurent De Boeck, for a courtesy visit. Mr. Laurent was in Katsina State for Conflict Mitigation Project Launch & Community Reconciliation in North West, Nigeria.

Yesterday, I met with the Ambassador of the State of Qatar, Dr. Ali Bin Ghanem Al-Hajri at the Embassy of Qatar in Abuja. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss potential collaboration between Katsina State and the State of Qatar in various sectors of the economy.
