Commenting on her career, advocate Abdul Moiz Jaferii said that there had been many judges in Pakistan's history who were remembered for a single decision they made during their careers. Sometimes, he said, that decision was so appalling that the other members of the bench were also remembered for it. He noted that only one such proceeding had ever been televised.

Barrister Asad Rahim Khan said it is rare that a single judge be on the side of so many damaging, regressive, and poorly reasoned verdicts as Justice Musarrat Hilali.

He further stated that this is made starker by the fact that her entire tenure hasn’t a single decision that developed or even clarified the law – whether that be on the civil, criminal, or constitutional side.

"Instead we have a string of bare signatures validating military trials of civilians, stripping the country’s largest party of its electoral symbol and thus disenfranchising the voter, and handing reserved seats to the same parties that lost them," he said.

He added that we don’t know, beyond her agreement with the majority, how Justice Hilali individually reasoned her way to such destructive verdicts, because she never wrote detailed judgments in any of the above.

Barrister Rahim also said that admirers say her career marked many firsts, but those include becoming Pakistan’s first woman jurist to think that civilians before military tribunals are guaranteed the right to a fair trial. Might actual justice trump empty tokenism."

It would be wrong to frame the Türkiye-KSA-Pakistan trilateral agreement primarily as a product of the recent US/Israel conflict with Iran. The foundations go back much further. Saudi Arabia has harboured a desire for stronger, more independent regional security arrangements for nearly a decade, as the reliability of the US-led security umbrella steadily declined. Of course, the latest regional developments have accelerated the process and brought it to fruition.

لیکن حیرت مجھے اس پر ہو رہی ہے گزشتہ 4 سال حکمران اتحاد کو محسن نقوی سے کوئی اختلاف نہیں رہا کیونکہ ان کے اقتدار کو دوام چاہیے تھا
پہلی دفعہ محسن نقوی صاحب کو عدم اعتماد کی تحریک میں ہلچل چل کےدوران دیکھا گیا
پھر پی ڈی ایم حکومت بن گئی
نگران وزیر اعلی کے لئے انہیں جماعتوں نے محسن نقوی کے نام پر اتفاق کیا تین کی بجائے 13 ماہ وہ وزیر اعلی رہے
ان کی وزارت اعلی کے دوران کن کے مفادات کا تحفظ ہوا کن کے مفادات کا نقصان ہوا وہ سب کو پتہ ہے ۔۔۔ حکمران اتحاد کے مفادات کا تحفظ ہی تحفظ تھا
پھر ان کی چیئرمین پی سی بی تعیناتی کی منظوری ہو گئی شہباز حکومت آئی تو شہباز حکومت کو کوئی اعتراض نہیں تھا
8 فروری الیکشن پھر 9 فروری کے جو متنازع نتائج تھے اس پر بھی حکمرانوں نے خوشی خوشی فائدہ اٹھایا حکومت بھی بنا ڈالی
پھر حکومت میں آتے ہی خوشی خوشی محسن نقوی کو سینیٹر بنوایا
حکومتی امور میں کلیدی خاموش کردار محسن نقوی کا رہا رانا ثنا اللہ یہاں تک کہہ گئے نقوی صاحب کی مہربانی ہے کہ وہ وزیراعظم نہیں بن گئے کبھی ایک لفظ اس سارے عرصے میں محسن نقوی کے خلاف بولنے کی ہمت نہیں ہوئی کیونکہ اس سے ان کا اقتدار چل رہا تھا اگر کچھ بولتے تو شاید اقتدار میں رکاوٹ آتی
پھر وزارت داخلہ ان کے پاس تھی ایران امریکہ جنگ میں وہ خارجہ امور میں بھی شامل رہے حکمرانوں کو کوئی اعتراض نہیں تھا
جب 4 سال محسن نقوی کے ہر معاملے میں آپ کا کوئئ اعتراض نہیں تھا جس کی وجہ سے معاملہ یہاں تک پہنچ گیا کہ اب آپ کے اقتدار پر سوال آیا تو ۔۔۔۔ اتنا عرصہ گزرنے کے بعد یاد آیا ہے کہ محسن نقوی کیا کونسلر بھی بن سکتا ہے ؟ وزارت داخلہ میں خواجہ آصف کارگردگی پوچھ رہے ہیں پھر پی سی بی کی کارگردگی پوچھ رہے ہیں ۔۔
یہ بھی تب پوچھ رہے ہیں جب محسوس ہوا ہے کہ سوال ان کے اقتدار پر آٹھ گیا ہے
وگرنا ہو سکتا ہے آج بھی نا بولتے ۔۔۔ !!

Very well put @AsifDurrani20 the hard fact is that Afghanistan was peaceful & prosperous under the Monarchy: King Zahir Shah was a wise ruler who balanced his country’s ties with regional & global powers, moreover, the Monarchy was the Center of Gravity of the Afghan State, which was sadly shattered by the Daud Coup of 1973, followed by the Communist Coup of Tarakki in 1978, followed by the inhouse factional coup of Hafizullah Amin in 1979, followed by the Soviet invasion in December 1979 & installation of Babrak Karmal! In all these changes, 5 rulers in Kabul in 6 years, Pakistan had NO role! During this period, Afghan infighting among themselves destabilized Afghanistan! Interestingly, Daud reversed his anti-Pakistan policy and in August 1976 & March 1978 visits to Pakistan, accepted the Durand Line, but he was killed before he could sign the Agreement! The biggest mistake was made by the Americans after 9/11 at the Bonn Agreement to not restore the Monarchy in Afghanistan, as Cambodia did after their peace, and these different outcomes made the critical difference!

All the noise and threats from Trump & Co. and media leaks (WSJ, Axios, CNN etc.) were just negotiation pressure and leverage on both Iran and the Gulf to force a deal rather than genuine military escalation because no one leaks the plans like that.
