this is probably the band’s fav song on the project because it feels like it bottled up the nuance and special sparkle of how we actually sound when we write and play together as a band and group of friends.

during our most recent tour, we stopped in a texan town called “pampa”. there were literal tumbleweeds scampering across the road, a phenomenon we previously thought only happened in cartoons.

we wrote the song from a perspective that wasn’t any of our own but still felt connected to us from vignettes of our own lives. in our minds, there is a girl that traveled to pampa to meet up with an old flame that probably never really cared about her.
