However, I don’t disagree with you. I just think the level of cartoon-hate on ATL taking Penix doesn’t add up.

Thinking Kirk is/was going to be the starter for the Falcons the entire length of his contract is more of a reach than grabbing Penix.

ATL can cut him in 2026 & save 32.5 million.

@DDiggitydog @jasonmoore I don’t disagree that they need help elsewhere. But it’s far too early to say it’s a complete waste. Anything can happen. It’s also more of indication that they don’t like the QB room behind Kirk, so why not try to sure that up?
