I thank Chinese leader Xi Jinping for his congratulations to Ukraine on our most important national holiday. Independence is an unconditional value for Ukrainians, as it is for all other sovereign nations. We appreciate that over these 35 years, we have built relations with China based on mutual respect and full recognition of the values of our peoples. We count on further cooperation and on China playing a strong diplomatic role in bringing Russia’s war against our country to an end. Peace can be our shared achievement.
Downfall of Rockstar Games
Rockstar Games used to mean something. They were the studio that pushed the industry forward, took risks, created unforgettable worlds and delivered games that felt like they were made with passion rather than spreadsheets.
Today that image is becoming harder and harder to recognize.
Rockstar has become a perfect example of what happens when success turns into corporate greed. GTA Online became a money printing machine and instead of using that success to create more ambitious singleplayer experiences, Rockstar increasingly treated its audience as a source of endless revenue.
Years of waiting for new games. Monetization everywhere. Content designed around keeping players spending. And now an entire industry watching GTA VI like it’s some kind of fucking financial event rather than a video game.
The saddest part is that Rockstar doesn’t need to behave like this. They already won. They have one of the most valuable gaming franchises in history, an enormous fanbase and enough money to take creative risks that almost nobody else can afford.
Yet somehow, the more successful they became, the more they started acting like every other greedy corporation.
Rockstar didn’t lose its ability to make great games. It lost the attitude that made people believe Rockstar was different from everyone else.
