Crews are on scene to the 1100 block of Adelaide St., North for a level three Hazmat response. Reports of a strong chemical chemical smell throughout the fourth floor. with reports of occupants having difficulty breathing.
Hazmat crews conducted advanced, atmospheric monitoring and testing. It has been confirmed the substance discharged in an apartment at this address was pepper spray.
One patient is being accessed by EMS.
Crews on scene are ventilating all the affected areas.
If you encounter a strong chemical order or what you believe to be pepper spray inside your building.
Do not investigate the source yourself.
Avoid the affected area immediately.
Move to fresh air if you experience, coughing, throat, irritation, burning eyes, or difficulty breathing
Call 911 if anyone is experiencing persistent, breathing difficulties or severe symptoms.

Crews responded to elevated carbon monoxide levels at home today. CO alarm alerted the residents early, allowing firefighters identify the cause as a faulty boiler shut down the gas and ventilate the home and make it safe.
Incident like this, reinforce the importance of having a working CO alarm on every level of your home and testing them regularly
