@CamLindalee @OttawaCitizen Like I said, I don't have any objection to a bargaining team negotiating a fair deal. But taking a strike action the impacts the general public, when the general public has seen far more struggle with the pandemic seem like suicide from an optics perspective.

I don't support, however, a strike for a group that already has a compensation package that is leaps and bounds ahead of the public sector. Making life more difficult for the public is just adding insult to injury.

@CamLindalee @OttawaCitizen There's nothing assumed - it's a collectively bargained pay rate. When you consider the public has seen pay reductions or job loss, half the paid vacation, and a fraction of the personal paid time off, perhaps you can understand the lack of sympathy for a strike.
