Halo USD – New treasury-backed stablecoin project

On April 23, the Halo USD project—spearheaded by @fiege_max, @felixprotocol, and contributors from @LiquityProtocol was unveiled in an article on X. The announcement laid out the plan to launch $HUSD : a treasury-backed stablecoin that will be available on both HyperCore and the HyperEVM. Prompted by the fact that Hyperliquid currently lacks its own tokenized dollar. Until now, HyperCore has had to rely on bridged USDC, and HyperEVM has had none at all. This forces users to assume smart-contract risk at the bridge level, accessible only via Arbitrum. Furthermore, Circle—the issuer of USDC—does not share the yield generated by the roughly $2.5 billion in treasury backing that bridged supply with the Hyperliquid ecosystem, as it does with Coinbase or Binance.

=> This stablecoin is designed to serve the Hyperliquid community:
@halo_usd will distinguish itself from both established and challenger stablecoin issuers on Hyperliquid by committing to ecosystem reinvestment. Rather than retaining all of the revenue generated from trading fees and collateral yields, the lion’s share will be redistributed—via on-chain mechanisms—to those who onboard users and liquidity to Hyperliquid.
In the coming weeks, Halo will publish additional articles detailing the implementation of $HUSD and explaining why Hyperliquid represents a unique ecosystem for stablecoin innovation.

Looped Hype - Phase 1 Airdrop

On April 23rd, the community discovered that $LOOP tokens worth $23,592.15 were purchased—most likely by the @Looped_HYPE team. Shortly afterward, the team announced Phase 1 of its airdrop. To qualify, you had to mint or swap $LHYPE tokens before March 9th, 2025.

Hyperliquid - New Fee system and Staking tiers Launch

Today (May 5) at approx. 03:00 UTC, @HyperliquidX launched its new fee system and staking tiers!
What’s included:

- Stake $HYPE to reduce your trading fees—the more you stake, the lower your costs.

- Separate fee schedules for perpetuals vs. spot markets.

- Spot trading volume counts double toward your fee tier, so you reach bigger discounts faster.

And, staking ↔️ trading account linking is live on testnet—stake in one account and apply those discounts to another. We expect this feature to hit mainnet shortly after today’s fee update

Hyperliquid - HIP 3 : Perpetual Market Listing Permissionless

Last week, the Hyperliquid team unveiled HIP-3, which will enable builders to deploy their own perpetual markets—effectively decentralizing perp listings on HyperCore. An MVP of this feature is already live on testnet.

I believe this could spark a major revolution in the Web3 ecosystem, both on DEXs and CEXs, over the coming months. Imagine fully permissionless deployments for any asset class—stocks, currencies, commodities, or market indices—opening up entirely new trading opportunities.

To ensure market integrity and protect users, deployers must stake 1 million $HYPE, a requirement likely to create upward pressure on the $HYPE token.
