@tesslee375#mktg475 I think that action on privacy concerns is going to be great for users, but will dismantle some of the practices and tools that social media marketers rely on. Having an innovative mindset will definitely help to overcome those challenges. Great article!
@katiepattrson@blairadowler#mktg475 This is a great point. If AI starts hurting the influencing industry, I wonder if there will be retaliation to the ethics of AI. It might result in something similar to the strikes in Hollywood last year.
@griffithbihun@blairadowler#mktg475 As immersive technology becomes more prominent, I think companies will try to find ways to market on those technologies. I don’t think that people will embrace digital immersion to the extant of it redefining everyday life though.
@blairadowler#mktg475 Lately, I’ve seen brands trying to create organic, user-generated ads. I think this trend will continue to grow and as ads will become more authentic, it will be difficult to skip them, since you won’t be able to immediately tell that they’re ads.
@chase_valente #mktg475 Every form of mass media has regulations in the interest of the people, so it doesn’t make sense for social media to be excluded. Hopefully some progress is made soon.
#mktg475 Since we were looking at the importance of LinkedIn this week, I thought this article showing the benefits of each social media platform would be relevant.

@AlexandraKomir@blairadowler@KendallJenner#mktg475 Their post feels very organic. In-your-face advertising tends to push me away from brands online, so when companies create this type of content, I personally like the brand more.
@blairadowler#mktg475 on Instagram, @thenorthface shared a video of winter athletes wearing North Face gear while doing stunts in Shanghai. The energy in the video and what the athletes were doing prompted me to share it with some of my friends.
@wvbrookewagner#mktg475 I’m not too worried about AI as a threat to the marketing industry either. It’s a great tool for marketers to use and will only improve the work marketers are already doing.
#mktg475@instagram has started testing out it’s new “Flipside” feature by giving some users the option to access it.
Do you think this new feature will be popular among users?

@chase_valente @blairadowler#mktg475 I remember the backlash @BurgerKing got from that was pretty substantial. Definitely one of the best examples of a very bad marketing strategy in the past few years.
@HarperJack15@blairadowler I 100% agree. Interest in analogue and point-and-shoot photography has been rapidly growing over the past few years, which is where Kodak really specialized. This a is a great opportunity for them to reestablish and popularize themselves in the public eye.
@blairadowler#MKTG475 On @CanonUSA’s, Instagram I noticed a lack of engagement with the account. They don’t post the content their audience wants to see. Instead of posting videos or creator content, they should focus on photos by canon photographers. These posts tend to get a lot more likes.
#mktg475 Since we’re talking about how brands use social media this week, I thought this article would be worth sharing. It highlights how social media can help a company achieve a successful rebrand.
