Alleluia @BBCRadio3 a decent recording of Widor Toccata: respectable speed, French organ; hearing this on an English organ, played at break neck speed, seemingly weekly, drives me potty 🙏🙏 French organs and organ music deserves a little care #bravo
@PetrocTrelawny Not at all. The best of all is Ratlinghope which is pronounced Ratch-hope. It’s where the last recorded professional sin eater is buried https://t.co/VftFeuRA6z
@PetrocTrelawny happy memories of singing in the choir Clifton cathedral, @MrDavidOgden’s choir were my second family. So good to hear this piece, we sang it every Good Friday @StLaurenceLud during my tenure.

So many musicians have been inspired by that hall, wonderful memories myself: primary school massed singing concerts, my first Belshazzar’s Feast as a young bass in the chorus, being allowed to practice on the superb organ and many orchestral concerts; so grateful. May it thrive!
