.@grok Elon Musk has said he wants to build AI data centers in space so they can use more efficient solar panels. How would cooling this work? Since heat can only really be dissappated by radiation in space, how can you cool the computers? Is this remotely feasible?

📢 New post: The State of ES5 on the Web.
For years, we defaulted to transpiling to ES5 in order to support IE. But is that still necessary?
I took a look at the data to find out, and I'll just say that the results were *actually* quite surprising! 🙀

@michael_kove@naval - Requires a license from the govt
- Mandatory subscription to big oil
- Constantly stuck in traffic
It’s an instrument of freedom!
Our @yale findings that China has imposed 4.4 million years of cumulative imprisonment on ethnic Uyghurs to bring about ethnic incapacitation have been featured in @ABC by @maxwalden_

@Aaron_Derfel Taking space away from cars causes more traffic in the short term. But as more people get sick of traffic and choose to bike or take transit instead, those services will see more use and then get more attention & expansion. In the end will result in less GHG and better urbanism
Polymarket has Gavin Newsom at 7% chance of winning the presidency and 9% of winning the DNC nomination. Can we say that the chance that he wins the presidency if he wins the nomination at 78% (via Bayes Theorem 7% / 9%) or are the events too dependent?
Dev pro-tip
A criminally underused feature of Solidity is custom types, and they are especially important in nested mappings with repeating key types. Look at the example below:
A classic token contract with allowance from allower to spender. But the dev made a mistake and flipped the key order, resulting in an instant critical (attacker can approve() on behalf of victim).
By simply introducing types, it's no longer possible to use a spender address for allower or vice versa.
The example is simple but can be extended to many different use cases. If you can cheaply opt-in to compile time protections, please do!
Side bonus: audits will be more effective as it allows researchers to focus on the unavoidable complexity instead of unneeded complexity.
In real life, the trans adult I knew best was a normal guy who worked at the zoo. In real life, the MAGA guy I know best is a little league coach who thinks all politicians are corrupt. In real life the cop I know best is an immigrant who wanted a stable, honorable job that she could balance with a family. In real life, the devout Catholic I know best is pro-choice, but spends the most time thinking about recruiting for the choir. In real life, the Muslim immigrant I know the best is a teacher who is mostly still in it for the holidays with her family. In real life, the former prisoner I knew best went away for 10 years at 18 years old but seemed like anyone else except growing up in a family where people went to jail all the time. The redneck I know best is a high school dropout with a stepson who is now a college professor. Don’t let the internet keep you from looking at the real world.
