Killer articulation, Stefan.
It's definitely context-specific, but there's a solid case for selectively passing events to Meta because of this.
Seen the "Higher AOV = Higher CAC" situation happen way too many times for it to be a coincidence
(Funny how this was meant to be about X - but most will probably fixate on the Meta part haha)
It's terrible. Moved to Gemini/Claude a little while ago.
You can really tell how terrible it is when using it as a sparring partner for areas you have deep expertise in.
@nickeubanks I think we need to ask ourselves how many times we see direct conflicts between what Google says versus what we see in reality.
For my own "believability threshold" - I think they lost their credibility a while ago.
@connorrolain My favorite examples of flywheels have some sort of "valley of death" - especially in DTC and the info space.
Need to have the patience/funds/conviction/experience to get to the other side. But if you do - the compounding effects are there
@JHTScherck I hate how the term "agency" has become rampant in the bizopp space these days.
A lot of these people don't know what the hell they're doing, let alone how to sell/set meetings haha
I wonder how these types of filters will affect human-first content that's been enhanced with AI effects (e.g. stop motion effects added by AI).
It's been one of the best use-cases I've found for using AI with performance creative.
Would be unfortunate if these fell in the bucket of AI slop.
@JHTScherck Made the switch from paid ChatGPT to Gemini this week too :)
It's a much better sparring partner, plus the image/video gen alone is worth it
@paulg@deepfates Interesting how our perception of "obviously AI" changes as the tech advances.
Makes me wonder what our aesthetic tastes look like one year from now.
@stephsmithio Makes me cringe whenever I see this on someone's profile.
The weird thing? I can't necessarily tell you why.
Taste/judgement could be it.
