Me: why did I stop editing this manuscript? I really enjoyed the prologue!
*reads chapter 1: oh.
*reads chapter 2: ohh...
*discovers chapter 3 is either missing or deleted while chapter 4 starts in the middle of a scene:

It would take far more than a month to honor the contributions of queer and transgender New Yorkers.
From the Cercle Hermaphroditos in 1895, the first trans advocacy group in the United States, to the drag balls of the Harlem Renaissance, to the Stonewall uprising, to the Lesbian Herstory Archives, to ACT UP!, founded in 1987 as queer people fought for their lives while the Reagan administration looked away, New York City's history has long been shaped by queer and trans New Yorkers.
To all our queer and trans neighbors: you deserve a City where you can afford to live safely, openly, and joyfully.
Happy Pride, New York City.
I've taught European history for 30 years. Americans have always asked me how the Holocaust was possible, how Germans could have enabled a madman reveling in mass murder to carry out his plans. Now we can see in real time how this is enabled; now we have front-row seats.
My plea to Democrats in Congress is this: get back to Washington. Even if you can't gavel in from recess. Even if you don't have a quorum. Even if another war powers resolution vote fails. It's not enough to Tweet. Get inside the building and show the world you are trying. NOW!
A “fake American citizen?”
Didn’t you MOVE to Puerto Rico to avoid paying your taxes while kids across America go hungry?
Meanwhile Benito actually funds low income kids’ access to arts and sports programs, while you defund them.
Of course you’re mad. He makes you look small.
Americans are being killed in the street by their government. Our Constitution is being shredded and our rights are dissolving. Resist.
Senate Dems should block ICE funding this week. Activate the National Guard.
We can and must stop this.
Frey: "You cannot drag pregnant women through the snow. You're not allowed to take teenagers out of their car and detain them when they are in fact American citizens. That is against the law in every state. That is against our US Constitution."
Tim Miller: “I will not be fucking gaslit by these people. I will not tone down the rhetoric. Jonathan Ross murdered her. She talked to him calmly, said dude I’m not mad. This is fucking insane. This is not a tough call. He orphaned her child and called her a fucking bitch after he killed her. Do not let Donald Trump, and JD Vance, and Kristi Noem, and these thugs try to convince you this is anything other than murder”
Young people may not know this but there was a time when the internet had thousands of quirky, informative websites, when you could spend hours browsing and come away smarter rather than dumber. We have seen a wonderful thing destroyed in our lifetimes.
Not that anybody asked, but the Northern Arctic is just Ocean. So Santa’s North Pole Workshop has only ever existed on a floating sheet of ice.
No fur trees.
No hills.
Occasional seals.
And polar bears — for now.
Anastasia (1997) is wildly rewatchable. Bluth gives it that lush, old-school sweep, and the Dimitri–Anya dynamic has more spark than half the live-action romances of its era. One of the great non-Disney gems.
@Noelle_CD Omg nooooo!!!
…at least I doubt they are in this movie but in some games a different version of these characters are 😭
It gets deep and idk if you want the fandom, particularly the shippers to come after you!
Black people are the biggest recyclers of plastic bags. So when you see a turtle choking, don't look at us. All of our plastic bags are in the cabinet under the sink.😂🤷🏾♂️
Freedom is not about saying nice things or agreeing with those in power.
It is not flattering the President of the United States.
It is the right to express your point of view without government interference.
We must not allow anybody to take that freedom away from us.
We should be clear about who Charlie Kirk was: a man who believed that the Civil Rights Act that granted Black Americans the right to vote was a “mistake,” who after the violent attack on Paul Pelosi claimed that “some amazing patriot out there” should bail out his assailant, and accused Jews of controlling “not just the colleges – it’s the nonprofits, it’s the movies, it’s Hollywood, it’s all of it.”
His rhetoric and beliefs were ignorant and sought to disenfranchise millions of Americans – far from “working tirelessly to promote unity” as asserted by the majority in this resolution.”
We can condemn his horrific assassination and the scourge of political violence without uplifting these ideas.
