It's super hilarious that this week's #editinghell newsletter was all about how "not to sound like AI" when making light edits. Not ONCE have I worked on a document that needed light editing (of 1000+ jobs). And if your editors write like AI, YOU NEED BETTER EDITORS. #YIKES
Based on personal experience, I think instrument misidentification isn't confined to SEMs. I'd say 50-60% of my #editinghell jobs failed to identify instruments at all in their methods sections. Failure to mention QA/QC measures is also a huge problem.

I did get a very nice email from the #editinghell company yesterday in response to my request for additional pay on a particularly heinous job I did last week. That was nice. I usually don't feel that my effort is valued, but hopefully somebody actually does appreciate my edits.
