In another study published in #JACCINT, the timing of noncardiac surgery after #TAVR was not associated with increased perioperative risk, suggesting that surgical delays based solely on interval from TAVR may be unnecessary. https://t.co/wV9xJZvri6 #vhdAS#cvSurg

@texhern Also essential to evaluate the link between centers’ expenditure on reporting quality metrics and their “performance” measured by these quality metrics. Indeed centers with greater financial resources may have more extensive coding and documentation that influence this metrics
@ESilvermanMD@JAMA_current Claims-based metrics (96 metrics; $37 553.58 per metric per year) consumed even greater resources vs chart-abstracted metrics (26 metrics; $33 871.30 per metric per year)
Let that sink in, when use of some of the claim based metrics have been associated with ⬆️☠️ (#HRRP)
New @JAMA_current study shows that Johns Hopkins Hospital spent $5 million and >100,000 person hours in 1 year to report 162 quality metrics. Worth it? #medtwitter https://t.co/MjAjhAOsWt
