1/2 Fargate looking superb on Sunday, with plenty of people about too. Disposable vape ban from 1st of June will hopefully get rid of those stores, the other blemish is the site at the junction with Norfolk Row. 🧵
‘The concrete frame has now reached level 9, marking a significant milestone in the lower block. Attention now shifts to the tower section, where the structure will continue to rise, topping out at level 17.

Exciting progress as our residential scheme for JEM Developments breaks ground in Sheffield. This project will transform a long-vacant brownfield site near Northern General Hospital into a mix of one- and two-bedroom apartments, adding much-needed housing diversity to the area.
Following confirmation that Sheffield Forgemasters has been granted planning permission to build a landmark 30,000 m2 machining facility on brownfield land in the City’s #Meadowhall district, we can share the first images of the site's progress images.
Located on Weedon Street, the new facility will form one of the world’s most advanced large machining facilities, to support manufacture for the UK defence programmes.
The building will cover a space equal to 12 Olympic-sized swimming pools and will contain some of the largest and most advanced five-axis Vertical Turning Lathes ever produced.
Plans for the new #machining facility detail a main building with a circa 272.5 x 110-metre footprint, standing 32 metres tall.
Adjoining the main construction is a second, proposed 3,500 m2 building, with a state-of-the-art test-house facility and a dedicated training area, to transfer vital skills to the next generation of engineers.
