@AWxNYC@ContentWxGuy You need to have either 850 or 700 frontogenesis over the city in order to bring down the temperature, otherwise you're in the subsidence zone where you'll see freezing drizzle for a while, other than plain rain.
@AWxNYC The city that never sleeps always makes it in the news.
From being in the subsidence zone, to a dry air layer winning.
Issues with UHI, and plenty of salt spreaders.
The name of the game.
@IsaacWxObserver @npcjoeyy True.
Different setup, less moisture.
I'm too young to remember snow from an inverted trough, I don't know if it ever happened.
@IsaacWxObserver @npcjoeyy Isaias made landfall in NY on Sunday morning. Sat night we got very heavy rains for a few hours, from an inverted trough that pulled moisture from Isaias.
@iCyclone Sort of 😜.
Absolute temperature is like thermodynamic temperatures, measured from absolute zero.
I don't think we use absolute temperatures with Fahrenheit or Celsius.
@IsaacWxObserver@CollinGrossWx ULL too west with this system, so it would be rain for the coastal areas, and mixing inland upto around 5-6k elevation.
You have a 984 low (impressive) ok the DelMarVa coast and the primary (990) is still present.
