Totally agree with this! 18 classes this year and the additional load come parents evening and grade card time is really hard to understand if you’ve never done it!

I now teach 20 classes.

I think all school leaders should try a few weeks of this (if they haven't) especially if they come from a Maths/English background so they fully understand the implications of things they ask teachers to do.

@missdcox Every meeting, in between and during difficult times I get little post-it’s on my desk checking in. It makes all the difference but I am lucky to work in a school that invests heavily in our well-being, not just though chucking money at it but through actions.

Worked everyday, including being open for the school holidays for keyworkers. Isolated myself from family, saw my wife in the garden. Our staff went over and above to support families.
