@NerineHalton Don't buy a Dyson, don't buy the Times, petition the BBC to stop this "what the papers say" shit. We don't want public money to amplify billionaire propaganda.
@Sillyshib@redhistorian@BBCr4today Exactly this. They really need to get some confidence and meet these stupid lines of questioning head on. People actually don't care about semantic nonsense, we want Oil&Gas, tech cos and the wealthy to pay more tax.
Excellent post. It's absolutely critical that this government ends subsidies to Oil and Gas companies - £50bn black hole AND destruction of the environment requires it.
NEW: Oil & gas firms have been decrying a possible hike in the windfall tax in the Budget for months, with some threatening to pull investment & cut jobs.
But new research reveals just how generous the UK’s current tax regime has been for O&G companies

@Paulscriven I'd rather they focus on media company ownership. No foreign ownership, no non-UK taxpayers for example. Much more critical for the future of democracy.
@Simon4NDorset Wow, seems like one of the most important topics in the UK today. Utter waste of time - you helped destroy this country and this is how you spend our money now ?
@wesstreeting Why is it important that *you think* people have moved on. We haven't, you haven't asked, and seriously why on earth would we when we see the damage Brexit is doing to our country every single day. Stop the BS and start getting a spine.
#Ridge: Why can't there be an open debate about the single market & customs union...?
Wes Streeting: "I think people have moved on... there's no appetite to litigate those arguments... lower growth is a fact of life we have to deal with..."
