@MJMiller367187@dogwoodblooms Believe me, the increase in liberals and the arrival of brisket and chicken being called BBQ in NC very much go hand in hand.
@SenThomTillis Let the senators of Utah, Florida, Alaska, and Montana worry about the constituents of their states. And all senators from those states except Murkowski are on board. So stop being an embarrassment to the NC voters who sent you to DC and support the Save America Act!
@dogwoodblooms Jonquils are what my grandparents called them (eastern NC) and they had hundreds of them along the fence line. That is what I call them too but people look at me like I have 3 heads when I do.
We all should pray more.
Why?
Because among other things, prayer is one of the primary ways we overcome anxiety and worry. And today we have something previous generations didn’t have—a constant stream of bad news in our pockets. Every time we pick up our phones we are reminded of something else that could make us anxious.
But the Bible gives us a very clear alternative to worry.
In Epistle to the Philippians chapter 4 we read:
“Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6–7)
@TheFortressInc Really flat lots? Surprised you are able to do this and not have issues with finish grading unless the lots are super flat to start with.
@TannerBuilds I don't get the love for that architectural style. It will end up being like the split level of the 70s. Future people will say, "Oh look they built that during the 2020s when people had lost their minds pretty much across the board."
@Herpderpmcderp@YoDragonus@RepOgles@FinancialCmte Yes, some builders use panelized walls but it is no where near a majority. Less than 3% of single family residential homes are constructed with them.
@YoDragonus@RepOgles@FinancialCmte This is not even remotely true. Manufactured trusses are a part of many houses and is especially prevalent in tract built type housing. But beyond trusses there is very little premade or precut structure in the vast majority of single family housing.
@dogwoodblooms I agree with you on a very high percentage of the political stuff but I started following for the NC culture. And I especially enjoy the trolling of other states and viciously defending the only real BBQ.
@mattvanswol The responses to your posts about these houses spotlight the number of people who post confidently about topics of which they have zero knowledge.
