This morning, Qamishlo saw a crowd gather around the Hafez al-Assad statue by the former Government of Syria security square before pulling down the statue, celebrating the exit of Assad's government from the country.
@adkins_ayesha @NEUnion The government are already being forced to say things might change and the schools might have to close. The government aren't the only people with power right now. Tomorrow hundreds of schools will be closed as teachers, union members, and local council do the right thing.
