I did my university research on aluminium, was editorial assistant for one of aluminium researchers in naval architecture & wrote the handbook for BP.

Aluminium is not a good material for ships. They will crack because the SN curve is a straight line down, only a question of when.

Could have been more if they didn’t self deal by giving all the engineering, design, procurement & a lot of the subcontracting to themselves/related Korean companies.

Out of the 3,000 jobs a significant amount will be Korean expats.

The net effect to actual Americans will be disproportionately low, compared to the size of the investment.

We have already seen the hollywood accounting with Hanwa, don’t expect anything different here.

The UAE has led a global crackdown on digital fraud, resulting in more than 960 arrests and the discovery of over $39 billion in illicit funds and assets.

The operation involved Interpol and law enforcement agencies from 30 countries.

The three-month operation thwarted more than 123.7 million online fraud attempts, blocked 4,126 bank accounts and shut down 570 social media accounts.

Targeting AI-enabled scams, financial fraud and online sextortion, the operation also identified 3,500 suspects and 15,500 victims worldwide
